A Christmasy Musical Advent Calendar Thingy 2 (with a Thought of The Day thrown in).

So, let me get this straight. It’s Sunday but we’re not doing Thought of The Day – like you promised – but we’re doing A Christmas Musical Advent Calendar Thingy?

Yes.

Like we did last year?

No.

We did one last year, didn’t we?

Yes.

So we’re doing it again?

No.

Yes, no, yes, no what are you some sort of yes/no man?

No, er I mean yes, er, no I mean…

Do you have trouble making up your mind?

Could be.

Ok, so how is it that This Christmas Musical Advent Calendar isn’t what we did last year and where’s MY Thought of the Day in all this?

Well it all started with Mary.

Ah, Mary…

Yes, last year she suggested that we make the Christmas Musical Advent Calendar an annual event.

Annual! Mary Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you to.

But it’s not Christmas! It’s December 2nd!

The first Sunday of Advent.

It is?

It is. And there are only four all together.

So we’re going to do this EVERY year?

No way, I have another plan for next year.

You do?

I do.

Pray tell.

That was a subtle reference to religion wasn’t it? To fit in with your new knowledge that this is the first Sunday of advent wasn’t it?

Aye.

Ah! And that was a Scottish-ism because you associate Scotand with Christmas?

It’s snowing there already.

That reminds me, did you see the frost covered trees this morning?

Glorious weren’t they? Decked in frost one could say.

If you wanted a subtle nod towards Carols.

You’ve noticed that I’ve noticed haven’t you?

Yes! You realise that even if we are doing a Christmas Musical Advent Calendar for the second year running it is ‘all new content’, a one-off response to Mary’s suggestion (because we want to do Doors again next year), an improved eclectic choice, part of The Quiz of the Year AND a chance to slip in a Thought of The day here and there.

Building up to the ‘special’ that is coming next year.

The Thought of The Day innovation that will make YOU happy?

The one YOU promised!

Yes.

Youl Tide?

Thanks to you too.

Each one of your Xmas musical advent calendar postings is an early Christmas present. Better than chocolate, I'd say.
